Bonsoir,
Damicalement, Serge

There Could Have Been More
October 24, 2008
There could have been more what? Published about the WMSG ! At home I studied newspapers of September 30th till October 19th and I did not know what to expect. I hoped to read more about draughts, chess, go and bridge than I did. Surpise was a report on Xiangqi, the chinese chess. All together though, the BIGGEST EVENT IN HISTORY OF MINDSPORTS should have earned more attention in our national press. More than two thousand sportsmen and sportswomen showed passion for their sports and what’s the result ? Ignorance by the main newspapers, at least in Holland. I find that hard to believe but it seems we have to live with it. The header in sport newspapers can still better be changed from SPORT to FOOTBALL and some other sports. Which does not mean I don’t like football, but to say we live in a democracy? Not really. Media tell people what to do and like.
