Information parue sur le forum FMJD (HANCO ELENBAAS):

Het 15de Panamerikaans Damkampioenschap, dat gisteren zou beginnen op St. Andrews Grenada, is afgelast. Mogelijk wordt het toernooi nu eind november, begin december georganiseerd in een ander land.

The 15th Panamercan Draughts championship in St Andrews Grenada has been cancelled. Possibly the championship will be played in another country from November 26th up to December 7th.

Topic: 15th Pan-American Senior International Draughts Championship.

Dear member-federations,

The PADCF inform you that the 15th Pan-American Senior International Draughts Championship will be hosted by the Suriname Draught Association in Paramaribo- Suriname in the period of November 26 – December 7, 2008.
The 15th Pan-American Senior International Draughts Championship is a qualifying championship (4 places) for the World Senior Championship 2009.

In the 15th Pan-American Senior International Draughts Championship each member-association can participate with 3 players and 1 coach

All participants must pay their lodging and food themselves during their stay in Suriname.
The Suriname Draugths Association will arrange reasonable lodging (apartments) at a principal arrangement of :
1 appartment ( 4 persons for 15 days) between $ 250 and $ 350 (USA).
Estimated cost for the meals is $ 20 per day per person.

The Suriname Draughts Association will further arrange:
Free transport from and to the airport
Free transport from the apartment/hotel to the playing room (VICE VERSA)
free coffee/tea/water/softdrinks during the games

The subscription fee for each player is $ 100 (USA)

Après moult imprécisions, il n'y aura pas de championnnat panaméricain cette année. Annulations en cascade qui agacent le Président de la confédération RAOUL ALIAS. Le Président annonce son souhait de quitter la tête de l'association.

Finalmente a Federação Panamericana concordou com a proposta da Confederacão Brasileira e definiu o 15o. Campeonato Panamericano para ser realizado no Brasil, de 15 a 24 de abril de 2009 !!

Le championnat continental se tiendra du 15 au 24 Avril 2009 au Brésil.
